Project Overview
Nigeria's first LNG regasification station has been successfully commissioned in a key industrial zone, marking the country's official entry into a new phase of efficient liquefied natural gas utilization in its energy infrastructure. The station employs large-scale ambient air vaporization technology at its core, with a daily processing capacity exceeding 500,000 standard cubic meters. By leveraging natural heat exchange with ambient air for zero-energy-consumption regasification, it provides a stable, economical, and low-carbon clean energy solution for regional industrial and residential gas demand.
Core Product & Technical Features
- Ultra-Large-Scale Modular Ambient Air Vaporization System
The station's core consists of multiple parallel arrays of large-scale ambient air vaporizers, with a single-unit vaporization capacity of 15,000 Nm³/h. The vaporizers feature a patented high-efficiency finned-tube structure and multi-channel air flow guidance design, increasing the heat exchange area by approximately 40% compared to conventional models. This ensures excellent heat transfer efficiency even in high ambient temperatures. The entire station can achieve adaptive regulation within a 30% to 110% load range. - Triple-Layer Environmental Adaptability Reinforcement
Specifically engineered for Nigeria's typical coastal climate of high temperature, high humidity, and high salt spray:Intelligent Vaporization & Load Optimization System- Material Level: Vaporizer cores are constructed from corrosion-resistant special aluminum alloys, with critical structural components treated with heavy-duty anti-corrosion nano-coatings.
- Structural Level: Optimized fin spacing and air flow channels prevent performance degradation from condensation in high-humidity environments.
- System Level: Equipped with intelligent defrosting and condensate drainage systems to ensure stable operation under all annual climatic conditions.
- Integrated with ambient temperature sensing and load prediction algorithms, the control system automatically adjusts the number of operating vaporizers and their load distribution based on real-time temperature, humidity, and downstream gas demand. Through a multi-stage temperature-pressure compound control strategy, it maintains outlet natural gas temperature fluctuations within ±3°C and pressure control accuracy within ±0.5%, fully meeting industrial users' stringent requirements for gas supply parameters.
- Fully Integrated Safety & Energy Efficiency Management Platform
A four-tier safety protection system is implemented: Environmental Monitoring → Process Parameter Interlocking → Equipment Status Protection → Emergency Shutdown Response. A SIL2-certified Safety Instrumented System (SIS) manages plant-wide safety interlocks. The system integrates a Boil-Off Gas (BOG) recovery and recondensation unit, ensuring near-zero emissions throughout the vaporization process. The energy efficiency management platform monitors the performance of each vaporization unit in real-time, enabling predictive maintenance and full lifecycle energy efficiency optimization.
Technological Innovation & Localization Value
The core vaporization system of this project incorporates multiple adaptive innovations tailored to West Africa's climate, successfully validating the reliability and economy of large-scale ambient air vaporization technology in tropical coastal regions. During project execution, we not only supplied the core process package, equipment, and technical training but also assisted in establishing a localized operation and maintenance framework and a spare parts support network. The commissioning of Nigeria's first large-scale ambient air LNG regasification station not only provides critical technological support for the country's energy transition but also delivers a successful model and reliable technical pathway for developing large-scale, low-operational-cost clean energy infrastructure under similar climatic conditions across West Africa.
