LNG Refueling Station in Russia

6

the country's first integrated "LNG Liquefaction Unit + Containerized LNG Refueling Station" solution has been successfully delivered and commissioned. This project is the first to achieve fully integrated on-site operation encompassing the entire process from pipeline natural gas to vehicle-ready LNG fuel, including liquefaction, storage, and refueling. It marks a significant breakthrough for Russia in the end-use application of small-scale, modular LNG industry chains, providing a highly autonomous, flexible, and efficient new model for supplying clean transportation energy in remote gas fields, mining areas, and regions without pipeline networks.

Core Product & Technical Features

  1. Modular Natural Gas Liquefaction Unit
The core liquefaction unit employs an efficient Mixed Refrigerant Cycle (MRC) process, with a design liquefaction capacity ranging from 5 to 20 tons per day. Highly integrated onto explosion-proof skids, it includes feed gas pretreatment, deep liquefaction, BOG recovery, and an intelligent control system. It features one-touch start/stop and automatic load adjustment, capable of steadily liquefying pipeline gas at -162°C and transferring it to storage tanks.
  2. Containerized Fully-Integrated LNG Refueling Station
The refueling station is built into a standard 40-foot high-cube container, integrating a vacuum-insulated LNG storage tank, a cryogenic submersible pump skid, a dispenser, and a station control and safety system. All equipment is pre-fabricated, tested, and integrated at the factory, incorporating comprehensive explosion-proofing, fire protection, and leak detection functions. It enables rapid transportation as a complete unit and "plug-and-play" deployment.
  3. Adaptive Design for Extreme Cold & Operational Stability Assurance
To withstand Russia's severe low-temperature environments, the system features comprehensive cold-proof reinforcement:

    • Critical equipment and instrumentation in the liquefaction module use low-temperature steel and are housed within insulated enclosures with trace heating.
    • The refueling container has an overall insulation layer with internal environmental temperature control to maintain equipment operating temperatures.
    • Electrical and control systems are designed for stable operation in ambient temperatures as low as -50°C.
  4. Intelligent Coordinated Control & Energy Efficiency Management
A central control platform coordinates the liquefaction unit and the refueling station. It can automatically start or stop the liquefaction unit based on tank liquid level, enabling on-demand energy production. The platform also monitors the entire system's energy consumption, equipment status, and safety parameters, supporting remote operation, maintenance, and data analysis to maximize the operational economy and reliability of the integrated system.

Project Value & Industry Significance
The successful implementation of this project provides the first verification in Russia of the feasibility of the "mobile liquefaction + on-site refueling" model. It not only provides users with a completely autonomous fuel supply chain from gas source to vehicle, overcoming infrastructure dependency, but also, with its highly modular and relocatable nature, offers an innovative solution for associated gas recovery in oil and gas fields, transportation energy supply in remote areas, and energy security for special sectors across Russia's vast territory. This demonstrates formidable capabilities in technological integration and customization within the clean energy equipment sector.
