Core Systems & Product Features
- High-Efficiency Cryogenic Storage & Dispensing System
The station's core features large-capacity, high-vacuum multilayer insulated LNG storage tanks with a daily boil-off gas (BOG) rate below 0.35%, minimizing product loss and emissions during storage. The tanks are equipped with fully submerged cryogenic centrifugal pumps as the primary dispensing power source. These variable frequency drive (VFD) pumps provide stable and adjustable discharge pressure based on refueling demand, ensuring reliability during high-frequency, high-flow refueling operations. - High-Precision, Rapid Refueling System
The dispensers employ mass flow meters and cryogenic-specific refueling nozzles, integrated with an automatic pre-cooling and circulation circuit. This system rapidly cools the dispensing lines to operational temperature, reducing "first-dispense" product loss. The refueling process is fully automated, featuring preset quantity/amount control and automatic data logging. Dispensing accuracy is better than ±1.0%, with a maximum single-nozzle flow rate of up to 200 liters per minute, significantly enhancing operational throughput. - Enhanced Environmental Adaptability Design
To withstand Nigeria's persistent high temperatures, high humidity, and coastal salt spray corrosion, all cryogenic equipment and piping utilize special-grade stainless steel with external anti-corrosion insulation. Electrical systems and instrumentation achieve a minimum protection rating of IP66. Critical control cabinets are fitted with moisture-proofing and cooling devices, ensuring the long-term stable operation of core equipment in harsh environments. - Integrated Safety & Intelligent Management System
The station employs a multi-layered protection architecture centered on a Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and an Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), providing 24/7 continuous monitoring and interlocked protection for tank pressure, level, and area-specific combustible gas concentration. The station control system enables remote monitoring, fault diagnostics, and operational data analysis. It supports contactless payment and vehicle identification, facilitating intelligent, efficient, and safe operation with minimal manpower.
As one of Nigeria's first specialized LNG refueling stations, its successful commissioning not only validates the exceptional performance of the core refueling equipment in demanding tropical coastal conditions but also provides a stable and reliable fuel supply guarantee for promoting pure-LNG vehicles and vessels in West Africa. This project demonstrates comprehensive strength in delivering high-standard, highly reliable solutions for clean energy end-use applications.
