
This project is the drying unit of the ammonia synthesis process at Chongqing Kabele Chemical Co., Ltd. It is one of the gas drying units with the highest operating pressure in China at present. The designed processing capacity of the unit is 58,000 Nm³/h, with an operating pressure of up to 8.13 MPa.
It adopts pressure swing adsorption drying technology to remove water content from the saturated state to below the dew point of -40°C, meeting the requirements of the subsequent low-temperature methanol washing process. The PSA drying system is configured with eight towers and is equipped with high-efficiency molecular sieve adsorbents.
The system regeneration adopts the product gas heating regeneration process to ensure thorough regeneration of the adsorbents. The designed processing capacity of the unit is 1.39 million Nm³ of reformate gas per day, and the water content removal efficiency exceeds 99.9%. The on-site installation period is 7 months.
For high-pressure operating conditions, all pressure vessels and pipelines are designed and manufactured according to ASME standards and undergo strict pressure tests. The successful operation of this unit has solved the technical problem of deep drying of high-pressure reformate gas, providing a reliable guarantee for the long-term stable operation of the ammonia synthesis process.
